The Teltonika RUT271 is a compact industrial 5G RedCap router designed to bridge the gap between 4G and full-capacity 5G.

Using 3GPP Release 17 RedCap technology with 5G Standalone architecture, it provides low-latency cellular connectivity at a more economical price point than full-performance 5G routers. The RUT271 is ideal for IoT and M2M applications that benefit from 5G reliability and responsiveness without requiring multi-gigabit speeds.

It features 4G LTE Cat 4 fallback, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for up to 50 connected devices, two Ethernet ports, automatic WAN failover, configurable digital I/O, passive PoE support, RutOS, and compatibility with Teltonika RMS.

5G RedCap Technology

5G Reduced Capability, or RedCap, is designed for industrial IoT devices that require lower latency, strong network capacity, and long-term 5G compatibility without the cost and complexity of full-capacity 5G hardware.

This allows the RUT271 to operate in existing LTE environments while providing a pathway toward future RedCap 5G deployments.

2.4GHz Wi-Fi

The integrated IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi access point can wirelessly support up to 50 devices.
